Say hello to my little friends...

I am a mom, I cook, I clean, I epically fail from time to time, I laugh about it.

Koh Kong!

Stopped for Cambodian iced coffee on the bus ride to Koh Kong

Most of the beer here has pull tabs - genius!

The roads are mostly iffy..

The power lines are terrifying

The way to eat

How to get better wifi - tinfoil!
Shrine stores all over the place.. the warhammer painters in my life would love these.

Relaxy guy

Empty beaches on the Gulf of Thailand

Feet in the South China Sea!

Waiting for our kampot pepper crab

I love me a good hammock

Cheers!

We were the only people at this restaurant.

Chris got so relaxed he melted.

On the way to Koh Kong Island

Our chauffeur

The water was so deep and you could see the bottom so far down.

Arrived!

Just the 9 of us from the boat and 2 guides. Huge, deserted, pristine island. I love this place.

snorkelling - the anemones were massive, lots of cute little fish

trying to look sexy in high buoancy

beach swings are my new thing

The guides caught and roasted barracuda for us; it was gorgeous.

It's almost all lava rock

no idea what this is, but it looked cool

the crabs leave pretty patterns when they dig holes

Chris can sleep anywhere

sun left us, so 5 hours later we left our paradise..

coming into the mangrove forests

mangove forests are so eerie and cool, lots of fish by the roots but they wouldn't photograph

drunk monkey

a lovely, mostly stable bridge

sunset in Koh Kong, back on the mainland

This was a beautiful restaurant, though the food was only so-so.

the whole restaurant was built over the water and gardened up thusly.

ha!

signed up for a tour of a jungle hike to a waterfall.. nobody else did. Boom! Private tour.

boat to an island through winding rivers of mangroves, just gorgeous.

It was a really big river.

obligatory yoga pose for the non-flexible

The water was so still and reflectiony

mangroves

land ho!

I just love vines.

secret flowers

land crab, halfway up the mountain. He was a tough little guy, and apparently they are tasty.

cool mushrooms

termite nest

I FOUND CARDAMON!

our private waterfall for the day

this was one of the most beautiful days we had, all around stellar.

it was so hot and the water was cool and clean and perfect.

kissy kissy (the waterfall was pounding though)

nap time

huge termite hill

eyeballing the dead skin eating fish

they're coming closer, too bad I'm too ticklish for that.

nobody around, no houses, nothing.

back to the boat after 5 hours spend swimming, napping, eating and lounging to end in a gentle, warm rain.
